Listed below are the service projects that FBLA has organized this year.
Thanksgiving Pies
Right before Thanksgiving students will gather together after school to make pies. These pies are then distributed to families that otherwise wouldn't be able to have a Thanksgiving pie.
Halloween Carnival
Every year La Grande FBLA organizes a Halloween carnival for the local kids. Every member brings candy and/or homebaked treats for the event. Everyone spends time creating booths for games and crafts. On halloween night, members spend time having lots of fun with the local kids!
12 Days of Christmas
This year as our Christmas service project, La Grande FBLA chose several families in need to give gifts to before the Christmas season. Many members donated items related to the Twelve Days of Christmas (Dove chocolate for "two turtle doves", etc.). The families were then given a basket each day leading up to Christmas break.
March of Dimes Bottle Fundraiser
For one week in November members carried baby bottles around to their classes asking for donations toward the March of Dimes foundation.
There are also bottles placed in local businesses to collect donations from the community. Informational bulletins are spread and handed out as well.
